Day Fifteen

Mike,

I am extremely excited for you to go on this amazing journey. I know you enjoy history and to have this opportunity to walk the same route that thousands of other pilgrims have traveled is something truly special. 

I hope you embrace this trip and take in all of the sights and sounds. I hope that you have time to meditate and reflect on life. Finally, I truly hope that you will bring me back a souvenir. 

In all seriousness, I wish you all the best luck for this trip. I know it is a long trip and may test you physically but the reward of getting to the end will be worth it. 

I will finish with a few lines from one of my favorite poems: “we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are; one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find and not to yield.”
